A TWO WAY PARTNERSHIP

Patient Rights and Responsibilities

Good healthcare works both ways. Here is what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you in return.
YOUR RIGHTS

Your Rights as Our Patient

  • Considerate and respectful care at every stage of your visit.
  • Clear, complete information about your diagnosis, treatment options and what to expect, explained in a way you understand.
  • The right to give informed consent before any procedure or treatment begins.
  • The right to refuse treatment where the law allows it, and to be told what that choice may mean.
  • Privacy and confidentiality for your medical records and conversations with staff.
  • A clear explanation of your bill, regardless of how you are paying for care.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU

Your Responsibilities to Us

  • Share accurate information about your medical history, past illnesses and current medication.
  • Ask when something is unclear. We would rather explain twice than have you leave confused.
  • Treat our staff and fellow patients with the same respect we aim to give you.
  • Keep your appointments where possible, and let us know early if you need to reschedule.
  • Follow the treatment plan your provider gives you, and tell us if anything changes.
IF SOMETHING FEELS WRONG

If at any point you feel that any of these rights have not been honored, please tell our administration directly.

We take these concerns seriously, and addressing them openly is part of how we keep improving.

“Healthcare works best as a partnership. When you know what to expect from us, and we know what we can expect from you, the whole process of getting well becomes easier for everyone.”
